MVA

Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA)

If you've been in an MVA, you will be assessed by your primary physician to determine your current condition after the accident. If it's deemed fit, they can permit up to 21 treatments based on your condition. Alongside physiotherapy and chiropractic work, massage therapy aids in the recovery from an MVA.

Insurance companies are more than likely to cover massage therapy, however, every case is different and should be discussed with your physician and the insurance company. There are many benefits of massage therapy in regards to MVA recovery including:

  • Reduced Stress
  • Reduced Pain & Swelling
  • Improved Circulation
  • Improved ROM (Range of Motion)
  • Faster Recovery

Certain injuries that are caused from MVAs that are treatable through massage therapy in conjunction with other physical therapies include:

  • Whiplash
  • Neck Pain
  • Low Back Pain
  • Concussions
  • Muscle Strains
  • Ligament Sprains
  • Fractures
  • Cognitive Impairment
